This thermometer was too difficult for my students to read. The "tube" with child-safe paint was upside down on many thermometers.

Large and easy to use for younger students but they must be removed as they can come loose if mishandled by young children.

Not reliable at temperatures above 90 degrees Celsius. I used them for a home lab for my chemistry students to measure the temperature of boiling water. The students brought them back with their ends warped from the heat. That's terrible, because thermometers have a mark of up to 120 degrees Celsius.

I thought I got a good deal on these cheap thermometers. I'm a building manager and wanted to try these inexpensive devices in different areas of the building to monitor the HVAC systems. All I wanted was to get relative temperature readings from different locations, so I figured that being accurate to within a few degrees Fahrenheit shouldn't matter much.
