Review on 🌱 Vanilla BioSteel Plant-Based Protein Powder: Non-GMO, Sugar-Free Vegan Post Workout Formula, 25 Servings by Eric Hall

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great tasting vegan plant-based protein. Only 25 servings/container.

In addition to the moral/ethical reasons for using plant-based proteins (vegetarian/vegan lifestyle/philosophy), there are health considerations. Plant-based protein powders are generally cholesterol-free and low in saturated/trans fats. This is an important aspect for those who want to limit these aspects. This protein blend follows that nutritional challenge. A 33-gram serving contains no cholesterol and only 2 grams of fat (1 gram of saturated fat). This fat probably comes from pumpkin seeds. Serving size is one scoop, which is 33 grams. Yes, that's a pretty significant scoop. In this serving you get 23 grams of protein. This is a decent amount, although other plant-based proteins offer a better than 2:3 protein-serving ratio. The product has badges and a note saying it's vegan, no artificial flavors or colors, non-GMO, gluten-free, free of Soy and Sport certified with a prominent NSF badge. GMP, FDA badges/certificates are missing, which is a notable omission these days, at least for me. There are only 25 servings per container. My take on supplements is to provide servings/doses over several months. So a month's supply is the absolute minimum unless it's a trial to attract/win new customers. Attached are photos showing real-world images, with close-ups of relevant information from the label. I mixed it with hot almond milk and cashew milk. and dissolves well. The vanilla flavor was decent, not too sweet, no aftertaste. It was actually a nice hot protein drink on a cold winter day. Based on the above, this plant-based vegan protein blend is rated 4-4.25 stars with a moderately high recommendation.
