This hoof rasp replaces the mini rasp (another brand) that I have used regularly on my miniature donkey for the past 12-15 years. I should have been rewarded with a much lighter rasp and faster hoof trimming with a brand new (probably sharp) tool, but instead I worked much harder with little to no hoof wall removal. The blades simply glide over the surface no matter how light or hard the rasp is used. After struggling with it for a few minutes, I switched to my old mini rasp and breathed a sigh of relief when it cleaned the hoof wall effortlessly despite decades of use. I tried this Rural365 mini rasp again next month thinking my donkey's hooves might have a different hardness and the rasp would work fine (although my old worn out rasp worked fine and always works). Once again the Rural365 rasp rolled over the hooves without doing anything resembling a clipping or smoothing. I switched to my 15 year old rasp and was able to trim my donkey's hooves with no problem. Another try for the next hoof care - same experience. This Rural365 mini rasp is useless. I wish I had tried it as soon as I got it but I just had my hooves trimmed and it was another 4-6 weeks before I needed it. I then gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried again for two more trimming cycles, ending my chance of a return and refund. waste of money.
