I bought this to use outside on the patio to keep the cat inside. I needed gates that were wider and higher than normal. Almost 46 inches wide and 32 inches high, larger since I don't have it flush with the deck floor. This easily reaches a width of about 50 inches. I didn't want to pay a lot so it was definitely a good price. It arrived very quickly and was perfectly packaged. Easy to take out of the box. Setup took a few nanoseconds. Seth the cat looked at him thinking he could jump over him (he probably could) or crawl under him (he couldn't) but then changed his mind. I liked it so much I bought a second one for the other side and it arrived the next day. It has bumpers so you have an extra inch on either side, and it won't scratch the door or walls. It's not a heavy gate but it fits snug enough to withstand impacts. I recommend this item and the seller. PS: Seth slid over the railing (I wasn't sure if he could, he did) and jumped on Smart Cat, not very smart host.
