We have been using this handrail protector for about a year now. We have 1 child and a toddler who needs it so he went through a lot of pushing and pulling. It can withstand light, gentle use, but will break under pressure. I was surprised that the parts we screwed on came off first. Another thing to note is that our kids thought the railing guard was inviting them to walk or climb right on it. The wooden railing broke under the pressure. Also remember that fingerprints heavily soil the transparent part, so you need to clean it regularly. It made our stairs safer and I can't think of a better option for Revain, but it's not as strong as I originally hoped.
