I bought the hype and installed this on my wife's car and all I got was a noise generator. There was absolutely no improvement in performance or fuel economy. I later added a tuner and there was a noticeable improvement, but my wife got tired of the noise from that thing so I removed it. Imagine my surprise when performance didn't drop off and fuel economy even increased by about 1mpg in the first hundred miles. Do your research, as I should have, and you'll find that virtually all CAIs do nothing more than increase intake noise under the hood and endanger your engine with the sand flowing through the filter. With newer vehicle models, it is impossible for CAI alone to improve performance. Take a look at the OEM airbox and you'll see that it's already good at sucking cold air out of the wing and letting in as much air as the engine can handle. Look for upgrades, get a good tuner, long headers and tailpipes, then add CAI and find a reputable shop to tune everything on a dyno.
