Review on 🐦 Alessi 9093 B Replacement Bird Shaped Whistle Black - Genuine Part for Alessi Tea Kettle by Dave Skidmore

I bought this for my white Le Creuset teapot and it works! The fit is functional, if not exactly snug - if I could find a small rubber washer of the right size then it would be perfect. I'm a little concerned that the little metal friction wires he uses to attach it will damage the inside of the spout after a while. I plan on bending them so they're a little less trained and easier to put in and take out. Surprisingly, you can remove a whistle with your hands without burning yourself if you catch it shortly after the whistle has started and turn off the gas first or remove it from the stove to stop steam escaping! The wings and tail fit your hand perfectly, and it wasn't hot yet - just don't sink your hands into a stream of hot steam! You can also balance the pipe upside down on the wings and tail while pouring the tea if you have a flat surface. (You might not care, but I don't want the "inside" part touching my oven.) If this were a pipe for Le Creuset I would give it 4 stars, but it gets 5 because it's beautiful, functional and so well made it works well with the wrong kettle too!
