🐦 Alessi 9093 B Replacement Bird Shaped Whistle Black - Genuine Part for Alessi Tea Kettle Review

I bought this whistle to replace the red whistle that came with the kettle and broke after 20 years of use. The plastic edges on this one are sharper than the originals, so it hurts a bit. Even when the kettle is boiling, the outflowing air whistles faintly, but it doesn't emit as loud a whistling as the original.

Small Grear Alessi whistle, but FYI it *doesn't* match my le Creuset kettle (like standard red enamel kettle now available but with a detachable whistle) , like mine. Read here and hope that Creuset has stopped making detachable whistles and has moved to a stationary device. Yes, the Creuset pipe has finally succumbed to the rigors of use after years of use.

I have just received this item. Not knowing if it would work with this Goodwill kettle I found it for only £6.99. What a find. It had no whistle. I bought this for my white Le Creuset teapot and it works! The fit is functional, if not exactly snug - if I could find a small rubber washer of the right size then it would be perfect. I'm a little concerned that the little metal friction wires he uses to attach it will damage the inside of the spout after a while.
