I had no problems replacing the filter with Coway. I liked that the filter fitted perfectly and is exactly the same as the one that came with the machine. I haven't changed it in a year and a half since owning the car (my first Coway) and the filter change light just came on. I cleaned the mesh filter regularly when the light came on. You press and hold the lit wash icon to reset the special timer on the wash lights. Benefits of using this replacement: Does not void the warranty on the machine. It has been fully tested with the machine, so you know it will not be damaged. It is clearly the same item so you can know the quality and compare the old to the new and see that after a year and a half it is actually a little worn. I know it fits and the air doesn't go through the filter on the sides like I've seen with some third party filters. Disadvantages of using this substitute: It is very expensive! If you replace it more often than me, it will cost a lot. I wanted to buy a cheaper option, but when I thought about how expensive the car is in the beginning, I realized why should I buy a cheaper filter now and make this whole purchase pointless?! Anyway, just my thoughts!
