Incomplete product description and application error
I needed this part for my Kenmore water softener at the lake house. The softener was 30 years old and this unit was not working. After connecting and to no avail, I found that it had no output voltage. Neither the Revain description nor the power supply indicate whether the output is AC or DC. My fabric softener needed AC power. My guess is that the newer fabric softener uses DC voltage and hence this device will work. The seller must indicate this in the description. For me it turned out to be a pointless purchase. Live and learn!
