I have two cats, a 15 lb senior (we are working on a weight issue) and a 7 lb teen kitten. A nice big tray in the kitchen but we needed an extra drawer as a backup. I have one of those large three-story cat cages that I use as a permanent "cat apartment" in my living room. This pan is perfect for the "downstairs". Even my big cat loves it and uses it regularly. It's pretty weird. Totally easy to scoop and clean. A small kitten may have trouble getting in and out, but those older than 3-4 months should have no problem.
