There weren't any problems at all. Worked 100% for my needs!

I've been in IT for almost 30 years and the new work from home model we introduced last year (thanks COVID) made me look for a solution. We were able to use remote access for a while, but after they started blocking outside access we had to switch to a VPN-based solution. That meant I would either sacrifice my home computer (no) or find KVM. So I did the last one. I read reviews, searched and read other reviews. I've heard people come up with every possible scenario for it not to work and I'll be damned if they don't find it! This is NOT for hardcore gamers or anyone looking to switch between a laptop and a 4K streaming server. But for those who need KVM to switch between a work computer (regular resolution, dual monitors) and a personal PC (no gaming, not 4K), it works just fine. I was shocked at how tiny it was, as in my past KVMs were a giant box that took up half your desktop. This thing is tiny and fits nicely under my elevated monitor stand that has my flash drives stacked on top. The remote control is fantastic - it's right next to my keyboard so I can change the view with a flick of the wrist. It only takes 2-3 seconds to switch, so there isn't much of a delay. Problem #1 I've encountered is that it doesn't "dummyt" the unused side of the switch. Every time you switch back and forth, you'll hear an "uninstall/install" sound, which is annoying but not a deal breaker. Windows doesn't seem to care, and I certainly don't care. I don't even notice it after 48 hours. I also had no problems with the wireless keyboard/mouse ports, which I've read several people have had problems with. I put them back which didn't work but as soon as I changed them it was 100mph. I spend 14 hours a day on these computers, so maintenance and reliability are vital. I've only had the little one a few days, but so far he's bulletproof. Don't skimp on cheap KVMs - upgrade to more expensive devices to keep your sanity!
