First of all I would like to apologize to the seller for confusing my review with another product that was damaged by another seller. The binding arrived in perfect condition and on time. Thank you and sorry As for the folder, I started using it about five years ago and once I got rid of the rather odd Itoya sizes, I realized that the 11x14 size was perfect for showing my photos. I started with their ART series, mainly because of the price, but ended up switching to the multi-ring binder for organizational reasons (if you need to reposition a photo in the ART series, you have to slide a whole bunch of photos together, but in a folder you just move whole pages). Yes, it's more expensive, but it's MUCH MORE versatile, and there are additional benefits: First, you can put twice as many photos in a folder, if not more. Second, it has a much more durable cover and looks a lot more professional. Third, the backs are much thicker and better protected, which surprised me and makes a big difference when a customer turns the page. And fourth, the sleeves appear more transparent and last longer (ART cases tend to cloud over time, mainly from overuse, I'm sure because I keep shooting with them). As said, the only downside is the price, especially for the sleeves. I usually grab a portfolio of 11 cases and then wait for a 60% off coupon from Michaels and buy the cases for about $10. But even considering the additional costs, they are worthwhile, especially for professionals.
