It really should have some sort of default thread, not a proprietary thread. Finally, I checked one last thing. Fittings Turns out to be the most common thread on M12x1.0 brake lines. Brake manufacturers make this unusual connection because they want people to make unsafe modifications to the brake line system. $40 I don't know why this manufacturer chose a common thread like 1.5 for this purpose. Terrible design and needs fixing!
