The old show was hard to pull off. But it's easier to install a new one. It's best to just snap the bolt on top of the old shock before removing it, mine broke anyway. My bottom bolt and nut were very rusty and it literally took a lot of leg strength (foot pressed the breaker) to loosen them, but they eventually came loose. A little lube on the bolt and nut before reassembly and everything went very smoothly. The damper feels well made and will probably outlive the pickup. My shock was just blue and didn't have a sticker unless there was one in the box which I didn't see.
