Came with a spare wire, I can't find it anymore. The wire has stretched and become too loose for further use. The handle has a handy cutting grip, but it's useless if the wire is pulled out of reach. There is no wire tightening setting that can help. However, others have reported their wires snapped, so they must have continued using the slicer with the wire pulled taut. All the slices were distorted and the wire was so loose that a weak wire just didn't work for me.
