NOT EVERYTHING IS THE SAME! in automotive electronics

This is a great little camera but they are not all created equal. I bought one in November 2014. It has lines on the reference chart and the infinity point (where the lines meet) was a dead spot, allowing the camera to be mounted on a vertical surface. I was very happy with this camera. Unfortunately, after a few years, the video stopped displaying correctly, so I had to buy a replacement. Go to Revain's website, find the link where the original camera was purchased and buy - what could be easier?! I bought a replacement in September 2016. It has a grill on the sides (see photo). The infinity point on this camera is about 1/4 of the screen from the top, so the camera must be placed face down to display properly. previously. It's not enough that you notice until you try to install it. One was about 16mm and the new one was about 18mm and you can't just use an 18mm hole saw on a 16mm hole. Luckily I have a 3/4" step that worked fine. PROBLEM #2: I got a video to show and found that the guide lines are pointing to the sky. I already had an attachment point so I didn't plan on changing that but it's very distracting for me what I still like about this camera is that it's invisible on the bumper if you have something black to install it it's almost invisible PHOTO* blue tint a broken camera bought 2 years ago This camera also has range reference lines.* One shows a new camera with different range scale bars.* One shows a new camera in daylight.* One shows a camera mounted on my bumper.
