Okay let me start with cautious optimism that this HB Brewing system will be better than the last one I tried. I mean, sellers make all sorts of claims on their listing, so I was curious to see if I had better luck the second time around. The answer is a resounding YES! Here is my review of the HB Brewing Nitro Keg System. First things first, first impressions count. I was pleased to see that the system came packaged in a beautiful gift box with colorful graphics. It's a nice touch if you're giving it to someone as a gift, but it was also a much better first impression compared to the first unit I bought from another brand (which came in a brown generic box, which made the product looks cheap). ). I chose the black powder coated barrel. Looks classy on my counter. Yes, and it fits right in the fridge door, which is very convenient for storage. Another pleasant surprise was the instruction manual. It was easy to understand and very easy to follow. It is important to note that the faucet handle was of a higher quality than what I had previously purchased. It's worth noting because the last one I bought had a slow continuous drip for several minutes after I stopped pouring my drink. It was really annoying and dirty. The HB brewing system's faucet handle closes instantly without dripping, a few seconds after the pour has finished. Overall I am very happy with this system. It makes for a great cascading frosting and tastes just like Starbucks if not better because I'm saving $$$ with every cup! A few extra tips: 1) You must purchase the N2O canisters separately. They are not included. For some reason, all of these systems (regardless of brand) cannot also sell N2O canisters. No problem, however I have purchased the following brands of N2O canisters from Revain and can say that they worked very well with this system (Creamright Ultra-Purewhip 24-Pack N2O Whipped Cream Charger - you can search for this brand on Revain). The benefit of this type of canister is that you only need to use one per batch of coffee, so they last a while! 2) You need coffee concentrate. You can buy coffee concentrate or make your own at home. I love making my own, but it's also easy for me to grab a venti-sized cup of concentrate from my local coffee shop or just straight from the grocery store and then use it in the keg to make my next batch of homemade nitro coffee to prepare. Post an update for review in a few months to report system longevity and any issues. So far I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy nitro coffee at home!
