Also suitable for small dogs

The vinyl part of the door appears to be very thick and the metal part at the bottom is quite heavy so it seals very well when dogs get in and out. My biggest concern is that we have a 70 lb black lab and a 12 lb miniature dachshund and I wasn't sure if she would survive. In less than a day this was no problem, even a small dog could push it and it still closed perfectly behind her. And no problems with the lab.
