The terminals are excellent

So at least I got an extra backup from the deal. Don't try this simplification and end up with one that requires the terminals to be crimped on the ends of the cable. This type of wire clamping mechanism is unreliable and breaks down easily. My friend overtightened the clamp and the screw slipped out of the channel. There's also no easy way to get it going again. The screws on the lid were also easily torn off. Rather, the block was broken by our attempts to repair it. As soon as I realized it simply needed to be replaced, I ripped it off the end of the cable too easily and found that it couldn't be twisted any tighter as the mechanism will critically fail if you twist it any further. Do yourself a favor and get views that require terminals. Crimp terminals are designed for more security, and then their attachment to the fuse holder is much better. I needed a replacement immediately and the only one that arrived the next day was a set of two even though I only needed one. These two were cheaper than this one and the one I installed has been working great for a few months now. They came with fuses so I now have two spare fuses including the ones that came with this unit and a spare holder. Lesson learned. clamps > no clamps.
