As soon as I plugged it in, it automatically installed the HP Omen Gaming software. While it may offer some additional features, it should be an optional installation and not something that just pops up unannounced. The monitor itself is acceptable and has a higher refresh rate with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The only problem is that the controls, which are located on the back of the monitor, are awkward to use. If you're the type to tweak monitor settings, this will be an annoying experience. This is mainly for business use (reading documents and viewing video calls in conferences). Images and text look crisp and there are no ghosting or artifacts in video playback. I've had bad results with previous HP monitors (this was a replacement for another HP monitor). replaced a couple of times due to defects - backlight didn't work) I hope HP can retaliate with this as it's more expensive and supposedly better.
