Review on ACDelco 45D2386 Professional Suspension Assembly by Kyle Lawrence

This was a direct replacement for the stock ball joints on my 2008 Honda Element. I would rate it 5 stars, but the nut that ACDelco uses for these ball joints (which holds the entire outboard suspension together) is self-locking and not a SAFE split-pin castle nut like the stock ball joint. Also, since there are no pre-drilled holes in the threaded part, you can't use a split pin and castle nut even if you wanted to. I installed a couple of these about 5,000 miles ago and they still work as they should and seem to be holding up well. I will check the lock nut from time to time to be on the safe side, but I have no doubt that this ACDelco ball joint is a quality piece that will last a very long time.
