I use a lot of USB to serial cables and they seem to solve a very common problem. Most USB-to-serial cables usually have non-detachable screw sleeves with internal threads. That's fine as long as you don't want to plug them directly into a device that also has "tappers". The connectors then get in the way and you have to use another short cable to connect them together, adding to the cost and another potential point of failure, especially since most connectors cannot be removed without destroying the cable. They have normal knurled screws. Instead of. As a result, they will connect to anything that has a DB9 socket. I use them to connect multiple tools on my workbench to a USB hub that is also on the workbench. Works perfectly. The drivers were recognized directly by Windows 7 and required no additional driver work on my part. All in all, highly recommended and I will definitely buy again.
