This is a gaming monitor that does exactly what it promises. Some people will complain that this is a TN panel with poor color accuracy and poor viewing angles and rate it for that. I don't think it's fair because it shouldn't be judged by that as it's not an IPS display. This monitor offers a smooth, immersive gaming experience. Games run absolutely smoothly and without stuttering, this is my first experience with a 144Hz monitor and I am completely satisfied. This is how every PC gamer should experience their games, especially in FPS shooters, the difference between 60Hz and 144Hz is day and night. The gameplay is totally addicting and you just want to keep playing. This panel is a must for all gamers. I don't have a Radeon card, so I can't comment on FreeSync, which should be great on this panel. The first complaint everyone makes is poor color out of the box, and it can be pretty obvious when you first turn on this monitor. If you are an NVidia card user like me (GTX 1070), before calibrating, go to the NVidia Control Panel and in the Change Resolution option set the refresh rate to 144Hz. After that, scroll down and change the color setting to "Use NVidia Settings", change the "Output Color Format" to "RGB Full" and apply. For some reason, Nvidia sets this setting to "restricted" by default. Once you've done this, you've just activated the panel's full range of colors and the difference is clear. Now just go to "Adjust desktop color settings" and increase Brightness to around 60, decrease Gamma to 0.85. Everything should look better now. You can go ahead and adjust the brightness and contrast using the controls on the display panel. This monitor is amazing after simple tweaks. Another thing I noticed is that it takes a while for the color to settle down and for the monitor to look good again when you turn it on from sleep.
