Review on 🌧️ Vremi 1 Pint Compact Portable Dehumidifier: Efficient Moisture Remover for Small Spaces by Krystal Rice

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Copes with its task, temporarily

This block works as intended. In my 1-room apartment with 50% humidity, it draws about half a liter every 3 days. A portable AC unit doesn't even come close in terms of dehumidification per watt hour. For those 1-star reviewers who expect this to pull ALL the moisture out of a garage with a leaky roof during a rainstorm, do you also expect a drinking straw to be useful for draining an Olympic-sized pool? Before you write reviews and expect a miracle, think and find the right tool. (UPDATE) 2/5/19, set at 40% after less than 2 months of constant use, got home to find it was off. After fumbling with the plugs and finding nothing, he turned it back on and immediately started making noise. By that I don't mean the quiet noise of the fan, but the loud crunching of the trailer gears. Vremi responded promptly (24 hours) to my request for assistance and informed me that the part was non-replaceable. The next day they sent me a replacement direct from Revain. (UPDATE 021819) Further disassembly of the first block showed that the 92mm fan can be easily removed from the mainboard via a 2-pin connector and actually replaced. The problem was caused by excessive movement of the fan blades in the fan housing causing them to contact the inner cover covering the main AC connector. I've been working with PCs for decades and I've never seen one of these fans move so freely (no, not up and down around the center shaft). Vremi may want to consider a different supplier than Poweryear (PY-9225M12S) for them.
