I used this suspension to mount some Avid Shorty Ultimate cantilever brakes. It offers enough clearance to allow the cantilever brakes to be adjusted for maximum performance. I would have liked the suspension to be 5-10mm taller, but I still prefer it to steering column mounted suspensions. I used this product on a Kinesis aluminum fork (about 18 years old) and had to drill the rear hole for the hex bolt that holds the hanger in place. Boring out the fork wasn't difficult, but it was unexpected. Hopefully more modern forks don't have this problem.
