Review on 🧴 Davines Purifying Shampoo, 8.45 fluid ounces by Brandi Mclaurin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not suitable for thick long hair

Well I've used this shampoo twice and haven't had any problems with dandruff so far. So it seems to be working so far. My three star rating relates to the overall performance of the shampoo, especially considering the higher price. I have thick dark straight hair and I usually use over-the-counter selenium sulfide shampoos like Head and Shoulders or Selsun Blue. I wanted to find a nicer shampoo that still uses selenium sulfide. I think Davines smells better and overall the shampoo feels less harsh than the two drugstore brands I mentioned. My problem is that I feel compelled (at least with my thick hair) to use more Davine shampoo to wash my hair than I need from other brands I've tried. Considering how much more expensive it is, it sucks. It doesn't lather (perhaps a plus for some) and it's very difficult to ensure all my hair is covered. If you think this is one of my methods for treating seborrheic dermis (scaly and itchy skin), it's important that I make sure it's evenly and fully distributed. I think if I had short hair or thin hair it would be less of an issue but as it stands I won't be buying this shampoo again.
