I have a Home Depot plastic toilet seat. I don't remember the manufacturer, probably Bemis or American Standard. I needed to install a riser and rails on my wife's toilet which came with a longer bolt and other hardware. When I took my wife to the nursing home, I removed the stand-up aid and support rails. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember what I did with the original hardware. Home Depot had a replacement oak toilet seat mounting kit that had a usable nut and bolt but had a large hole in the seat bracket. The head of the screw would go right through the mounting hole even with the included washer. I had a larger washer but that would prevent the locking cap from closing on the bolt and allowing the seat to move. This kit did it. It comes with two sets of bolts, one longer than the other, two sets of nuts, two sets of rubber inserts to pass the toilet rod through, and ideally a set of the right size washers. . I trimmed a set of rubber liners with a clerk knife so that they did not protrude beyond the wells, inserted them into the wells, put on the toilet seat, put the bolts under the bolt head with a washer, screwed in, tightened locknuts on the bolt to the level of the toilet bowl , and voila - the toilet seat fits snugly on the toilet without moving. highlighted.
