Review on Bestauto 12V Train Horn Air Compressor with 6L Tank - Portable Tire Inflator & Motorhome Tire Pump by James Baker

Got a new compressor

UPDATE: I installed a new compressor. I added rubber isolators that I ordered from Revain to dampen the vibrations between the compressor and the metal mounting point. The hose is a different size than the hose connector on the pull horn. The hose provided should be connected to the compressor but not to the horns as the hose connection on the horn is much smaller. I was able to fit the small horn hose into the large compressor hose, problem solved. I connected everything and turned on the compressor (I already have a switch from the previous compressor in the cabin). I didn't hear the compressor working so I went to the compressor and sure enough it worked. But it was so quiet I thought it wasn't going to work properly. I waited and looked at the pressure gauge and after about 20 seconds the pressure had risen to 125psi in less than 4 minutes. I calculated how long it took for the air to escape before restarting (90psi) and it took over 10 minutes, the compressor restarted immediately and returned to 125psi in less than 30 seconds. To say I'm happy with the compressor is an understatement. Large tank and base, quiet (but extra quiet with rubber isolators), less air leakage and strong response. This compressor is primarily designed for car tires, so the hose can be larger for this reason. Also the hose fitting in the photo is shown straight up but it rotates 360 degrees. Well, after my last review, the seller contacted me. They sent me a new compressor which arrived today. This time it was wrapped in styrofoam on both ends to avoid damaging the part that was wrapped last time. So I'm happy, very satisfied, with the customer service. My complaint was responded to immediately and the problem was quickly solved. Tomorrow I'll put the compressor on the truck and check my horns. The other compressor I'm replacing made a loud pull horn but it was bleeding like crazy so had to run every 5-6 minutes to keep up the pressure. I hope this works better. After installing and testing I will do another review.
