Review on Belkin Upstream Charging Thunderbolt Transfer - F4U097Tt by Jason Cooper

I used this drive dock with an HP laptop that had a lightning connector. The initial setup to connect the docking station was a bit iffy as I had to call Belkin support to connect the drive dock to the laptop. Once connected, I used the following features: Ethernet connection, dual monitor, and powering the computer from the docking station. The dual monitor and power features seemed to work, but the ethernet connection dropped from time to time. At this point I confirmed that my ISP was still running and that I had a live ethernet connection to my other computer through the same router. To fix the problem, I simply unplugged the Thunderbolt cable from the laptop and plugged it back in. So the error seems to have come from the docking station. This was more than an annoyance in my opinion as I couldn't be sure that the ethernet connection would remain stable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product.
