I use puppy mats in the dog bowl, my 3lb Maltip loves it and it makes me very happy! He accepted it straight away, much better than the puppy owner and it's large enough to give maximum coverage and use a 22x22 puppy mat as pictured. I have it in its Iris 4 handle along with its drawer and other items you see in the picture. Now he doesn't have to wake me up at night to "go potty." I just change his pads in the morning before I feed him and the puppy is fine! I wish I had bought this before the puppy owner and saved myself some money. On the back, if little Onyx ever starts to lift a foot, the dog litter box has sides high enough to cover that, too.
