I buy Tom's toothpaste because it works just as well as any other toothpaste. I have tried and love that they are environmentally conscious and contribute to the recycling of oral care products and deodorants, for example. I bought this version of their toothpaste mainly because it was new and I decided to give it a try. The mint flavor is very faint and it has another background flavor that I can't identify. After prolonged use, I no longer smell. As for the whitening properties, I didn't notice any difference. I've never noticed toothpaste change the color of my teeth so they either don't do anything or they do the same and there's nothing to change. It's not bad toothpaste, but I'll probably go back to one of the other better tasting versions.
