I wanted to avoid the high cost of bottled water while providing safe drinking water for my family. This prompted me to purchase this filter and remove the Pur water filter I had purchased. 1. The taste of the water hasn't really changed. (same for pure water filters) 2. I am disappointed that I did not receive a list of the chemical percentages in the reducers. A detailed list and a laboratory certificate came with the clean filter. I was disappointed that the top only had a small shortlist with no on-site certification. In this regard, I removed the top filter and installed a water filter. Safety is more important than worrying about the top filter working, I can't risk that. I've been using it for a month now. ****** Apex doesn't mention what percentage of chemicals or contaminants it removes in the product description ********** Other filters (some don't) so do your research.
