This part literally saved me $700 from the dealer. After reading many reviews of the Ford dealer scamming people into a repair that doesn't even fix the no crank problem on many Ford Focuses, I decided to try a few things before going to the dealer. First I changed the ignition (changed the key to my key) then when that didn't work I narrowed the problem down to a power issue somewhere around the steering column. I thought the anti-theft sensor had failed, but after replacing it (found at a junkyard because Ford only sells the item in a $145 rebuild kit), the problem was never resolved. After further diagnostics I found that this part (ignition starter switch) was loose and if you pushed it just a little the car started right away. I would suggest if you are having this problem with the car start here and then move on to the ignition if it is not working. This part fitted my 2008 SES Ford Focus perfectly and now my car starts like new! So relaxed and very excited.
