Your small dog will hide dry food in this mat and never find it

I LOVE my mats They came in a set of three. As others noted, one of the rugs was a different shade of gray than the other two. It doesn't bother me at all. I think that's probably intentional. I find them to be warm, snuggly and soft, not at all the odd synthetic feel of most synthetics. I prefer cotton, but cotton doesn't dry as quickly as this rug. The loops are so long and lush that my dog actually randomly stuffs food between the loops. I don't even feel it, but it goes haywire if I accidentally step on it, apparently it knows to the centimeter where the piece is stored. I don't know why he's doing this and I don't know if it's important, but I think it leads me to believe that if you want a nice soft pad for your dog in his carrier, get one of these can use, and your dog will feel safe and happy to put things in it and hide things in a pile. Slipping was the most important thing for me as I am older and disabled and a fall can cost me dearly. I don't think it's normal for everyone to fall, but for someone with diabetic neuropathy or numbness in their feet where you can't tell exactly where the edges of things are and it's easy to trip, especially when you're barefoot, this is incredibly important the carpet stayed in place. I think the fact that I have marble tile on my bathroom floor keeps this rug in place. In fact, it stays in place so well that you need two hands to move it if you want to straighten it: you can't stick your foot out and maneuver around the mat. Finally, I appreciate the seller's willingness to be available for any problem or concern and that he contacted me twice to make sure I was happy with (my purchase). That's more than most spouses will do in a few years, so yes, I love the rug, and the charcoal gray hue is particularly spa-like and striking in a white and distractingly neutral bathroom. It's a tiny bathroom, but the dark color accentuates the look and contrasts nicely with the soft texture of the carpet. Enjoy!
