It's green and it's a common VW vulnerability.

Used on my 2004 Passat 2.8, my sons 2002 Golf 2.0 and my Audi TT 1.8 225hp. This is the part that you need to replace when you get refrigeration codes on your vehicle. This is not the only way to get codes (p2181, p1296, p1136), but it is a very common reason. It comes with an O ring. The ones we got were green and that fixed the codes for us. Sometimes the codes you have are related to your thermostat or the coolant itself. Can't reach the price and free shipping. I always test my parts on rockauto to make sure they fit.
