Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Faber Castel Art and Graphic, Pitt Artists Pens, Set of 4 Black and White Pens (167151) by Carla Anderson

I agree with Stacey H! Transparent!

see photos. I wasn't thrilled with the Gelly Roll, but after comparing them I found that they outperformed these *much* more expensive pens. I gave it 2 stars because the black "S" pen in the kit is a good pen and I really like all the black Pitt fineliners I have in the other kit. But those white pencils really are Pitts. I also have Pentel's Milky Pop, it looks similar to the gelly roll in the photos but the gelly roll is actually better. a kind of double line effect where the lower left color shows through the white ink. Not my goal. White Gelly Roll ink does not do this and appears "more runny". White Pitt pens are not only nearly opaque, but they also absorb ink or paint that you want to add white accents to. , if you're trying to add a little white detail on a watercolor for example, don't bother! This pen picks up the color at the tip and just makes a blurry whitish streak of color underneath. As another reviewer said, it's almost invisible in this scenario. If the effect you're looking for is a bright white highlight, you won't get it with these Pitt White 100 pens. So you end up paying $11 for a pen. Black. You can get this black pen in a pack of 8 for about $14. And have all other line options downloadable in this set. If you are looking for a black pen, Pitt pens are good. I'd say the Statlers are better, but only because they feel better built and have a sharper line point that you can hit really hard. But I love how well Pitt's black markers work on very thin line points. On the sketches they look gentle. The Statler set I have only goes down to 0.3 which is not great compared to the set I have with the Faber lock. FC has a lot of great products, but I would definitely steer clear of them, at least as far as white markers go. **Update: white gel pens:. The white UNI Ball grips are even better than the Gelly Roll. Look at her!
