On second thought. for air mattresses

*** UPDATE #2: So this mattress has completely let me down. Something happened to the internal structure and one of the ribs moved out about 6 inches and now it can't be used for a full night's sleep. Was good for my back but only for one position and I can't use it at night. I tried it and it wasn't good. I will have to downgrade my 4 stars to 3 stars because it failed so quickly. A NOTICE. I've only inflated the material 15-20 times, and most of the time I've let the air in for several weeks to "sag" from re-inflation. Possible post-pumping, but I think the pump cannot post-pumping. Body weight pressure? Possibly, but it happened when there was nothing on it.** UPDATE: So I've changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. After being able to use the mattress for several days in a row, I came to the realization that it would be a good idea to fill the mattress up as much as possible and turn it off. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes (to stretch) and then turn it back on and refill until it hardens. I was expecting it to stay firm on the first watering. Again, I weigh over 200 pounds, so I recommend doing this if you're an adult. Also, if you open the exhaust valve, just open and go. I've tried squeezing the air out when it gets clogged after use towards the end of the valley. Just let the mattress deflate on its own. Sometimes I put folded blankets or big pillows down when deflating, but I think it's designed to deflate on its own. First 2 star review below: I got this because it was $25. I have the more expensive Intex product and am giving it 2 stars as I see it as a grown male over 200lbs. The quality is good and the mattress mounted air pump is very comfortable and well designed with a rocker switch that you just flip and turn off (make sure you close the 1st valve). It's also a good size, easy-to-use valve that opens and closes with a simple twist (great for kids). I would say it doesn't bloat me enough, but I think it's designed not to bloat too much. There's also a cool little compartment for storing the power cord. The reason I got 2 stars is because I think this mattress is suitable for kids and small adults as it can't support my weight until morning. It's not that bad, but the next morning there's plenty of air coming out and I have a slight V from the leak. I weigh over 200 pounds so I'm pretty sure that's the reason. Another thing I don't like about this version is that there are NO cells in the mattress so it's like a big balloon and because I'm so heavy when the stuff stops inflating and when I roll over it tips over the mattress almost over. which is not good when you sleep. Again, I don't think this will be a problem for a child, teen, or small adult, and overall it's comfortable on first inflation. Overnight stay or camping. It's also not that high off the ground, so kids who can roll off the bed are pretty close to the ground. I don't recommend this if you need something for multiple nights in a row and/or are a full sized adult. I would return it but I don't return it anymore because I bought it a while ago and I can't go back to the date.

Pros
  • air mattresses
Cons
