Bought to use while swimming and kayaking on a nearby lake. We are still training our 50# mix that not everyone on the lake wants their attention so a waterproof leash is a must. Although this lead does not hold water and can easily be washed away, it sinks like a stone. Its color allows you to track it if you lose it in the water, but it's a terrible strain on a swimming dog, even with a vest. Sand/dirt/grit in the bar will cause it to stick after one use. It will likely reverse that benefit in favor of something geared for more adventurous use.
