Review on Hamilton Beach 46700 Programmable Automatic by Kevin Campos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Delivers A+++ coffee. Maybe the best of all time. I've had very good luck with Hamilton Beach.

I've had great luck with Hamilton Beach coffee makers, so the price of this high-end model, the Hamilton Beach 46700 Craft Programmable, didn't put me off. And wow, the coffee from this machine is +++ good, maybe the best I've ever had. And this is an automatic brew option, I haven't tried manual brewing. Fat is actually fat. I have third place out of five and I have a solid light cup. It's high tech and high fashion. The control panel scrolls through the various functions and automatically saves the last program entered - cups, fat, broth, temperature. It has a countdown scale for adding the correct amount of grind and a corresponding indicator for water. The carafe has a glass handle, the water compartment has a modern illuminated display. The water is distributed over the area in a slow, downpour-like flow, a well-designed infiltration. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's quick, the instructions are very clear, and there's a cheat sheet. The result is a fantastic coffee. Unlike my daily 12/14 cup pot, a maximum of 8 cups is enough in this pot. Each cup is large and has a rich, intense flavor. The only comment I have is patience. Literally another 2-3 minutes to get it right (including seepage), but that's an adjustment once I get used to my morning coffee routine. Pros: - Great, great A+++ coffee. - The bold font is actually bold. I can get a solid fat cup at level 3 out of 5. - Easy to use, provides soil and water values for perfect proportions. - Beautiful appearance - fun with design details. - Uses normal #4 filters. Learning curve is fast. - Faster brewing time than I expected. There is a seepage time, but it doesn't last much longer. **Additional opening: The tank design allows for quick filling of the pot. The heating element is separate from the water tank so I can add water and make more coffee while the first pot is still hot. I turn the coffee maker off and on again, set the settings to full, pour in just enough water to fill the carafe, and hit brew. The bold setting is very strong, so I can use the reasons I already have. More coffee, still good and fast Notes: The basket component is open, so steam is a factor. I will not put this under my wooden cabinets. - Bank limit - 8 cups. I descend from 12 and 14 cup pots. These are much fuller cups but are adjustable. - The control panel keeps the last program entered, but there is a delay in entering data on the display. - It may take an extra minute to set the jug and wait another minute or two. for perfect infiltration. (Count seconds in the morning) - The carafe is beautiful, but made entirely of glass, even the handle, the basket is also made of glass - care is a must.
