Bought one of these for our 2007 Jeep Compass. I have a Jensen vx7020 head unit that I installed myself and needed a backup camera. I bought this camera and it works great. The hardest part is the wiring. Removing the tailgate trim panels was easy with a set of levers. After the panels are removed, remove the two nuts holding the jeep light and latch handle. I had to drill a hole in the jeep's plastic headlight and route the wires as a sealed block, but it took two seconds. the device connected immediately. The next step was to connect the black and red power wires to the reverse light and the red power wire that goes to the yellow RCA wire needs to be connected to the red power wire with a simple splice. The clip did the trick, next thought is to plug in the main unit and connect the other end of the red wire to the main unit's reverse backup wire. The device works perfectly and looks professional. The quality of the camera is excellent and it has redundant lines. When shifting into reverse, it easily shifts to reserve.
