I bought these boots in a size 6 to wear for work during the winter. I like how the sole is thick enough to keep my feet warm during recess duty but they are not heavy. I got lots of compliments on them. I expected them to be a bit snug because of the furry lining, but even with my slightly thicker winter socks there was lots of room for my toes. They were, in fact, a little long. So if you're in between sizes you could probably round down. They look somewhat boxy around the ankle when they're on but I didn't mind that. I liked that they were comfy and warm and not heavy because I was going to be on my feet wearing them all day. I could not get the sole to come out to insert orthotics. After a couple of months, some fraying up and down the laces began to occur. But for the price I paid I am super happy with these.
