Review on πŸ“½οΈ XGIMI Elfin Mini Projector - Ultra Compact 1080P Portable Projector, 4K Input Compatible for Movies & Gaming, Android TV 10.0, 800 ANSI Lumens, HDR 10+, Harman Kardon Speakers, Auto Keystone, Auto Focus by Rosalio Zavala

Good little 1080p projector with some major flaws.

Nice little 1080 HDR projector with the following disadvantages. Hopefully they can fix some bugs with software updates. 1) 3D and game modes don't work with Keystone. The whole purpose of the small portable device is keystone correction. Functional exclusion due to activated keystone correction is not acceptable. 2) There is no way to download HDMI source directly. This is necessary because the projector itself has poor Netflix performance. Therefore, the primary use is through the connected HDMI streaming device. This should be an easy software solution.3). 33 dmd seems to be one of the reasons for the above shortcomings and some fuzzy areas when playing low-resolution content. 4) The lack of a power button can be a problem if the remote is overlooked or messed up in the future. 5) Auto keystone correction and motion focus may need to be disabled as they run too frequently and without warning. 6) With mainstream Netflix support missing from xgimi devices for so many years, it seems like it will never be available. This alone with Keystone 3D and Keystone game mode could make it a must-have along with other xgimi products. Hope xgimi is working on it.

Pros
  • Ultra-compact: Elfin offers incredible brightness, loud sound and crystal clear 1080p resolution, all in a light and thin book-sized design. Just slip the Elfin into your backpack and let it spice up your movie night, camping tents, office meeting or gym class.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
