My pit bull Charles weighs about 78 pounds. He is very territorial and protective of our home. He keeps barking loudly when my neighbors or other strangers come by. He also gets completely mad and aggressive when something is loud like someone knocking on a door or thunder, fireworks etc. I was very reluctant to buy one of these collars for Charles but we tried everything they could think of . to help with his constant barking and aggression. Thank god we took the advice of my friend who is a professional dog trainer and bought this collar. To my surprise, it's AMAZING because it works! The instructions are easy to understand and set up is a breeze. The stepwise mode of the cortical correction strategy is humane, safe and effective! A dog's first bark will only trigger a beep and vibration alert and the collar will only work if the dog continues to bark within 30 seconds of the first bark. He learned very quickly the first day, and since then he's been fairly calm and never yelled at passers-by (we used to use an ultrasonic sonic trainer, but she quickly became immune to it). It feels pretty solid and looks pretty well thought out and sturdy. Rechargeable batteries hold a charge for a very long time and I can recharge them by plugging them into a computer or cell phone charger.
