Bought this for my eight year old daughter. I need a surf buddy and she's scared of my board so I take her in the water. We haven't surfed yet but the board is good, buckled up and plugged in. I jumped in the pool several times and it suddenly made me swim. It's nice and hard on the bottom, with access to the back. I'm thinking about buying more. worth buying
