Just installed this camera on my pickup truck and it works great. A few installation tips: The video cable is very weak, I actually damaged the one that came with it during installation by running it through my truck's firewall. You can buy Monster Cable, it's very cheap but very strong - I did. If you want the camera to switch automatically when you reverse your car, you need to buy another cable. I went to Ace Hardware and took about 20 feet of 16 gauge wire and routed it from the reverse light positive wire to the purple reverse trigger on the back of the main unit. I also took a loom tube to protect the wires from the weather. Otherwise installation is easy. The red wire goes to the colored wire on the reversing light. The black wire goes to the black wire (ground) of the reversing lamp. To switch it automatically, just connect the wire you bought from ace to the wire of the same color that the red wire is connected to. Then simply connect the yellow video cable to the "Rear View Camera" or "RCIN" port on the back of the head unit. The camera quality is really good, even at night.
