Works well. Does what it says on the tin and can easily prevent panel failure. If it saves a call back for additional repairs, then it's paid for itself. What I struggle with (sometimes) is knowing exactly what I'm seeing. You see a hotspot on the screen, but where exactly are you looking? It gets easier with experience. Maybe there is a setting that increases the transparency of the image that I haven't found yet. The display colors correspond more or less to the target point. I wish it had a "threshold" mode that would only show something red if it was above a selected temperature value. You can even use this to test electronics. The hotspot on the circuit board is clearly visible.
