was used to replace the originally molded rubber stopper which felt warm to the touch and became hot. Ambient 100, the original plug head 160. I have found that the original heads that come with Moho have crimp connections and after about 10 years they start to fail due to corrosion in the crimp wire connections. I replaced 3 of them with non-original ones to fix the heating problem. If the plug feels warm, it is defective and needs to be replaced. I also found that the 2 air conditioners on my unit run better and cooler with the new plug. The new fork head is at normal ambient temperature, both the air conditioning and my fridge are running because the original overheated. Replaced 2 melted sockets before I realized it was the heads that were causing the sockets to fail. It's not easy to catch all the threaded wires in the set screws, but it can be done. Check the set screws again after a while as heat can cause them to loosen. If you have found that the wires are too thick to "capture" the ends, it may be worth trying a splice sleeve from your local hardware store for the cable ends. The plug could turn them on, but didn't.
