Great extension.

We needed an extension cord while camping with our motorhome in the dry. We were so happy to find this Miady 30ft 50Amp Heavy Duty RV Extender, Easy Unplug Design with Cord Organizer at Revain and it arrived a day earlier than we expected! This is of great importance when temperatures are above 90⁰F and humidity is above 80%. The air conditioner was needed 24/7! The cord inside the organizer is tied together so it doesn't stick out in different directions. I definitely recommend the product!

Matching replacement part

These heavy duty plastic end caps provide ample clearance to run the 6 gauge copper wire required for 50 amps. I have found that the screw connections can be tightened just enough to ensure a secure connection. Three finger holes on the back of the plug provide enough grip to pull the plug out of a tight socket. Ideally, this plug should be weatherproofed by a cap on the RV power pole. If this plug is used as part of an extension cord, it must be protected from rain or other moisture with thick

Quality product is the best in lighting and electronics

This is a quality product but it is very difficult to connect correctly. The strength of the wires makes this very difficult. The downside is that the instructions are in millimeters, not inches, and the length of the cable and the amount of jacket removed are critical to a quality installation. The instructions also state that before laying the wires, the cable must be assembled. That does not work. Install the wires first, then secure the cable. And finally, it is extremely difficult to…

Seems very strong. Installation is difficult due to thick wires but doable.

Tips: Take your time and follow the dimensions in the assembly instructions exactly. Be careful not to cut the insulation of individual wires when cutting the rubber sheath. Make sure you don't push the bare copper past the clip or the tabs (or slots) will not press flush into their plastic sockets. .The last wire (the one that twists at the top) needs a bit of sharpening so it doesn't interfere with the cover, but it can be done (don't press with sharp objects - you need to protect the…

Works great with the right cable preparation.

Decent connector but like many of them I found they didn't have two plates to clamp a stranded wire between. Instead, the screw bites into the strand and pushes the individual strands to one side or the other so that these strands do not disturb the current flow. This will make the connection points hot and there is a risk that the connector will melt. The only way I've found to alleviate this problem is to use a ferrule that is crimped onto each wire before it is inserted into the connection…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

The instructions were pretty decent: they explained exactly how short the main sheathing option is, each individual wire and the sheathing for each wire . However, the design is pretty crappy - first you have to insert the ground wire and press it against the back of the plug, then put the other 3 wires over it. The neutral wire in particular is quite short and was difficult to connect. I suggest connecting ground first, then neutral, then 2 pins. Nevertheless I bet everything. The final step…

I have found that the original heads that come with Moho have crimp connections and after about 10 years they start to fail due to corrosion in the crimp wire connections. I replaced 3 of them with non-original ones to fix the heating problem. If the plug feels warm, it is defective and needs to be replaced. I also found that the 2 air conditioners on my

Second Lighting & Electrical Review

This replacement 50 amp plug is of much better quality than the yellow ones I have used and dreaded for years. I'm assuming this one will hold up much better. It was also delivered as promised which is always a plus. I ordered a women's version of this fork from Miady in September 2019 and it didn't perform as well as the men's version I reviewed here. For some reason, every time I try to review a women's fork, I come back to this review with an option to edit it. I'd rather look at it…
