I gave up butane lighters for my outdoor adventures after encountering 0F conditions and butane not working. I've also had way too many of those cheap lighters that broke, stopped working when they got wet, etc. But liquid lighters need fuel. My old Zippo lighter evaporated too quickly. I've found a few other long lasting outdoor lighters that hold fuel but wanted to be sure I had a supply and found this one. Easy to fill. They are larger than expected, half size would probably fit me best. They are quite light and strong and I could use them to splatter on wood expecting it to be very difficult to light. What worries me is that they are so shiny that it is difficult to hold them with wet, cold hands. So I took a file and hit outside. Now he is no longer handsome, but much tougher. I really like the accompanying clip. Finally the solution I've been wanting for a long time! Not giving a full 5 stars as I've only had them a few weeks and haven't really challenged them outdoors but now have one in the inside pocket of my favorite outdoor backpack.
